“My children loved the content of the DVD and how it is presented. The animation is great and communicates the content in an effective and interesting manner. The Marko the Pencil character is engaging and does not annoy the viewer. The content of the DVD is interesting and provides education on many physical science topics. I especially like that the introduction to the DVD first gives a lesson on safety in the lab. This is extremely important, and I am glad that the DVD expresses this to the viewer. The lesson topics are informative without being too lengthy, so they hold the viewer’s attention. My children commented on the safety information as it was presented because it reinforced information that they had already learned in science class. The music portions were entertaining; my children thought the dancing and singing test tubes were fun and helped remember the scientific method. The talking tools make the presentation fun for young children. There were controls on the DVD that were available that allow you to skip to portions of the disc; this is helpful to the viewer if you are returning to a previously viewed section.
