Success Stories

How schools have used Rock 'N Learn for turning around performance...

Leighton Elementary (Leighton, AL) bought Letter Sounds DVDs for their at-risk students. Because of results, Colbert County purchased Letter Sounds DVDs for their entire district.

The math coach at Taylor Elementary in Caycee, SC reports using Multiplication Rap to bring students “from scoring the lowest out of ten elementary schools to second from the top. Having recently received an award from the governor for closing the achievement gap in math for historically underachieving students, we credit some of our strategies to Multiplication Rap.” The Director of Elementary Education subsequently purchased Multiplication Rap for all third graders in the school district.

In May 2005, the Santa Clara Office of Education (CA) used our programs to prepare migrant children for kindergarten. The videos were distributed in the spring for use in the summer. Because of the remarkable success, these programs have been purchased each year since. “One of our kindergarten teachers could not believe that one of our students had not attended a preschool. He was isolated in a rural area and his mom worked with him using Rock ‘N Learn videos.”

“Your Letter Sounds program makes the difference between a child completing kindergarten or failing for those who are struggling. It gives them the extra practice they need. Busy parents can put on the audio or DVD and their child can learn while the parent is cooking dinner or doing other things.” —Tania Castanon, kindergarten teacher, Miami, FL
